Electric Boating

Electric cars and trucks are taking a long time to “arrive”, but in typical new tech fashion, their growth is following an exponential curve, and soon they’ll be the norm. Germany recently announced all cars manufactured there will be electric by 2030, and the UK and France have banned new petrol and diesel cars from 2040.

It’s surprising though that little attention has been paid to the marine scene. We should pay attention — the same exponential curve is evident. There are already over 100 manufacturers of electric boats and ships, according to a recent IDTechEx report. The report argues that the sector is fragmented but often highly profitable, growing fast, and predicts the market for hybrid and pure electric non-military vessels will hit over US$20 billion by 2027.

Electric Vehicles

The auto industry has raced ahead on an electric wave with more manufacturers joining the race seemingly every day.

The boating industry has sputtered far behind, bogged down by low-horsepower engines and batteries that take up nearly half the boat.

That’s in the process of changing.

Bolstered by new technology, the electric boats are now faster, have smaller batteries with longer ranges and are still zero emission.

“Electric boats used to be good for just cruising around,” said Alex Mongeon, CEO of Montreal-based Vision Marine Technologies. “Now they have more power and last a long longer.”

EV Charging Stations

According to recent research, visitors prefer doing business with companies that encourage environmental sustainability and will spend more time, money, and be more satisfied overall with their experience where charging stations are installed.

Increase your property’s value and attract eco-conscious residents by installing EV charging stations.

Installing infrastructure to accommodate private or communal stations for your customers, guests, and residents. The benefits of private and communal charging stations can be enormous.

Electric Bikes

Environmentally conscious companies have brought urban living and travel to the next level. The choice for environmentally friendly electric bikes is huge, you can choose from many different models depending on the company. From sleek to nostalgic looking electric bicycles, manufacturers and companies carry something for everyone who’s looking to get around in their urban environment.

Beyond being an environmentally friendly way to get around, there are some other big advantages to these electric bikes. There is no driver’s license needed (this depends on the jurisdiction you are under, please check with your town or city) and you don’t need to go through the bother and hassle of getting insurance (this again can vary from place to place, please call your insurance agent to verify if you need one).

What you do get is a fast and efficient way to get from point A to point B in the city. Keep in mind that your electric bikes choices can be used on roads and bike lanes in most circumstances.

If you’re looking for a greener and more stylish way of getting around your urban setting, we suggest you have a good look at different electric bicycles options. Traveling where you need to go just got a lot more interesting and environmentally friendly and most of all reduce your carbon footprint.

Electrify Commercial Vehicles

Various conversion packages offered by many environmentally conscious companies can be configured and utilized to meet your terrain and duty-cycle requirements while reducing the total cost of ownership.

Walk-in vans, delivery trucks, shuttle buses, refrigerated trucks and service vehicles can use this technology. The core system features a high-torque magnetic reluctance motor with a high-voltage backbone optimized for the duty cycle of delivery trucks and shuttle buses. The propulsion system approach is an open-architecture, high-voltage topology that allows significant flexibility for fleet operators to select the type and size of energy storage system that will maximize range and value. Easily configurable options are available to better meet the needs of diverse fleets.

With ranges that vary from 40 to 150 miles in most duty cycles, various conversion packages can be configured for your fleet’s operational needs, duty cycle and budget. The vehicle’s operation is very intuitive, ensuring happy drivers. Simple and easy charging solutions provide maximum vehicle availability, assuring reliable fleet operations.

Electrical Conversions

Electrifying, EV conversion, electro modding – whatever you want to call it, there’s hardly any denying that it’s quite the thing these days. And really, it had to happen – if you take a burgeoning and seemingly never-ending desire for classic metal and combine it with the realisation that burning extinct dinosaurs is actually moving up the timeline on our own extinction… well, where else could we go? Classic electric car conversion is becoming more and more popular, as owners of older cars decide it’s time to remove the combustion engine and replace it with a more modern, electric powertrain that will future-proof their beloved vehicles against future law or tax changes and fuel availability issues.
